Parismita Singh est une écrivaine, artiste et éducatrice basée en Assam, en Inde.
Elle est l’autrice du recueil de nouvelles Peace Has Come et du roman graphique Hotel at the End of the World. Elle a également publié plusieurs livres pour la jeunesse, dont le roman graphique Mara and the Clay Cows et Fat King, Thin Dog.

Elle a dirigé l’anthologie Centrepiece: New Writing and Art from Northeast India et a participé à la conception de la Pao Anthology of Comics, consacrée à la bande dessinée du nord-est de l’Inde. Elle tient par ailleurs une chronique illustrée sur l’artisanat et la culture pour le magazine en ligne Voice of Fashion.

Pendant de nombreuses années, elle a travaillé au sein d’un projet éducatif créatif et multilingue dans les zones rurales de l’Assam. Sa pratique artistique communautaire s’étend du textile aux ateliers participatifs, de la pédagogie en classe à la fabrication de livres, avec une attention particulière portée aux formes de narration diverses et inclusives.

Elle travaille actuellement sur un projet mêlant texte et image intitulé Beast, Bird, Tree, Machine: Metamorphosis and the Women of Myth.
